Since year 2013 Fahrenheit smells heavily different than before. There is a sort of sweet, "vanilla" note. Personally I like it, but this is not the "classic" Fahrenheit anymore. The gasoline note disappeared almost completely, and, actually, it's more similar to another Fahrenheit "flanker". The next couple of weeks I've asked 4 people their opinion of it, and they each said it was 'spicy', and I can't figure out what they're referring to because all I smell is leather and flowers (and that faint 'gasoline' note, which I read is really honeysuckle). In summary, Dior Fahrenheit smells like a luxury interpretation of gasoline, with several nuances providing depth and richness. As it dries, the gasoline subsides, where soapy green and leathery undertones arise.
While I have no idea what earlier versions of Fahrenheit smell like (this fragrance wasn't part of my childhood in the '90s and early 2000s), the modern batches are petrol and leather only toned down with hints of floral, woody and citrus accords supporting it.
